American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) hosted its 2022 Spring Gala at the Metropolitan Club in New York City, honoring Lena Bi枚rck Kaplan and renowned architect James Stewart Polshek, with special guest Liv Ullmann. The Gala was a festive and memorable evening. Lena聽Bi枚rck Kaplan received聽ASF’s Niels Poulson Award, presented by ASF Co-Chair Eugene V. Kokot and ASF Executive Trustee聽Liv Ullmann,聽and聽James Stewart Polshek received ASF’s Cultural Award, presented by聽ASF President Edward P. Gallagher and Eugene V. Kokot.
Other highlights included聽a performance by 2018 ASF Birgit Nilsson Award-winning soprano Jessica Faselt, a cocktail reception and dancing, and music by Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks.聽All proceeds from the Gala will benefit ASF鈥檚 initiatives to promote cultural and education exchange between the U.S. and Nordic countries.
